If I connect with something on an emotional level, then I am inspired. As I leave for photo shoots back in Durango this week, I wanted to share with you what I look at each day. I love all forms of art and one is interior design. We have not had cable for more than 2 years now, so in the mornings I check the news then go for my daily dose of my favorite blog...I choose to live in a fantasy land where love, life and beautiful moments prevail and this blog makes me smile all the time. What I love about interior design is that it incorporates all the forms of art. My husband says I am obsessed with it, and well, I am. I love this site. My daily does of visual inspiration is on desire to inspire .

The lovely Bonni was the third model for Lorean's portfolio. See other posts here and here to view the other photo shoots. Since photographing these gorgeous ladies and then designing the complete resume & portfolio, Lorean has moved to New York City and is now a stylist at a fabulous salon. I know she will be at Fashion Week sooner than she thinks and I am more than thrilled for her. Just remember the little people Lorean, please don't forget about us:)...Love you bunches and bunches.

Oh how I just love a photo shoot of a gorgeous pregnant woman. Here are a few of my favorites from our shorter than expected session as she was not feeling too well (the little one in her belly was making a statement that she wanted to be out already), but she really wanted to get special images before the sweet baby arrived...and well, it is a good thing we did the shoot that afternoon...
...because this photo was when we ended the session as she had a feeling that her new little one might enter the world a little earlier than expected...Here is a photo mid-contraction...And I am so glad we were able to do this session when we did as little ~e~ made her way into the world less than 24 hours after this...
Congratulations to this beautiful family and dear friends of mine and the sneak peek to the newborn photos coming in a couple days...

Where do I even begin?
I love this family so much and am so honored they wanted me to come all the way to them in Ruidoso, New Mexico, to photograph their sweet new son. Words cannot even describe how I feel about this & the time spent with them, so I will keep it simple and let the photos speak at how sweet the day was.

I love that this beauty (class of 2011 high school graduate to be) and her family came all the way from the Twin Cities to have me photograph her. We met them up in Denver and even though it was the hottest day in Denver, we had a lot of fun stomping around the city finding great spots to take photos. Our makeup almost melted off by the end of the shoot, but we survived:).
Here are some of my favorites of ~miss b~ and the rest will be coming in a private gallery soon.

I love that I get to watch my clients grow up. I have had the privilege of photographing little ~m~ for over the past year and love love love seeing how much she is learning and how her personality is evolving. She is such a sweetheart. These are some of my favorite images from her mini-session.

As I arrived at a photo shoot this morning, these gorgeous flowers
caught my eye and I just had to capture them before I photographed a

I am so excited to let everyone know about Broken Lines Studio.
It is my husband's new blog and portfolio to showcase all the amazing talents he has and what he has to offer as an artist...including photography, graphic design, a bit of animation, illustration with video incorporated too. I look forward to seeing all the amazing creative art pieces he comes up.
We collaborate on wedding assignments as well as other artistic endeavors, but Broken Lines Studio is all about him and his art. We have kind of a ying/yang relationship with our art to give clients the best of both worlds on what we can do. Vali & Travis's Denver Wedding ~ Part Two ~
What a sweet sweet sweet wedding. Here is a brief overview of their day... Before the ceremony at the Denver Botanic Gardens, they wanted to have a first look at each other to soak in the love before they started the rest of their lives as a husband and wife. LOVE LOVE LOVE a first look as it is a very special and intimate moment. After the ceremony, we headed out to do some fun portraits, then went to Argyll in Cherry Creek for the reception where an amazing group of family and friends waited to greet them and celebrate throughout the evening.

Lorean Cairns is an amazingly talented hair & make-up stylist. When she contacted me to photograph some of her work for her portfolio (showcasing her hair styling talent), I was thrilled. When we met, we instantly knew we were meant to work on this together too. I LOVE collaborating with talented artists to create beautiful art. Not only did I get to work with Lorean, but Nina Q was the amazing fashion stylist behind the looks. It has been an amazing journey to see how it all evolved over the series of shoots.
Lorean is currently at Lemonhead in Durango, but will be calling NYC home later this summer...I can't wait to work with her & Nina on fashion shoots in the big apple too.
Here was the first day of the series with each style evolving into another. Lorean, Nina and Jaime (the GORGEOUS model) were just amazing to work with.

This oh-so-sweet one month old was just a joy to photograph.
Her adorable big brother made the session very entertaining too.
While mom, an amazing yoga instructor, rocked his sister to sleep, he created a masterpiece: a portrait of me taking photos.
I was amazed at his talent and all the other drawings he had on display at home.
The one below was just "in progress" as the final one had even more thoughtful details...(don't you just love the yellow hair and Nikon logo:))...
I enjoyed this family immensely...
And I can't wait to show them the full gallery.
