...I am appreciating all the wonderful people and clients that have come into my life throughout the past year...from the lovely anticipating moms, the adorable newborns, the active toddlers and wonderful kids to the amazing families, high school seniors and people in love...
...I look forward to more of this in 2010...
...There is a lot of good stuff ahead...

I was so excited when I got the request to photograph Nicole, her husband as well as her sister that is visiting from The Netherlands...I remember the first time I met Nicole as I was so excited that I recognized her Dutch accent...I know that sounds so silly, but I had lived in Holland for a year studying abroad and absolutely loved it there...the people, the country, the lifestyle & of course the trams and awesome bike that got me around everywhere...and I have to say that I have never met an unattractive person from that country...so meeting her & her sister of course made me remember how tall, blonde, tan, smart and gorgeous everyone in Holland is~I am not kidding...
I am so excited for the special bundle of love that is coming to them and am so honored they wanted me to take these photos of them...The last ones are a recreation of a childhood photo and their memory of that moment in time...it was so fun and I just loved spending time with them..
N~I hope you love them...and there are more to come in your gallery...
p.s. double click on the gallery and a full-screen version will appear...and no, I did not do anything to B's eyes or yours...that is all you, the light and what you were born with...amazing...

Hi Heidi! Many of my friends (some comments you have read) love the pictures!..and so do I! So who knows...may be you will become an international photographer some day! I'm back in NL and just had to take yet another look at the pictures. The older I get, the more sentimental and therefore find it more difficult to live far apart from my sister. These pictures sure help...and definetly shows how much fun we have when we are together. Looking forward to the full Gallery. Thank you so much for making the time to take these pictures! X

(08.22.09)Heidi, please come and visit The Netherlands again!! We all talk with that dutch accent..and at the same time..please do make more of those beautifull pictures you've made of Brigitte who,s my girlfriend and her sister Nicole..and indeed I'm sure you'll be the first to make pictures of the new little bundle of love that will soon join them..Isn't life fantastic sometimes!..Thanks for sharing!

I had such a wonderful morning with this gorgeous woman~Hayley...Out of all the entries in the From the Heart drawing the night of our soiree (there were a lot), Hayley received the photo session with me...It was so meant to be too. She is such a natural in front of the camera...I so wish I could be like that...And I love the mom & daughter photos~so sweet!...I practically had to jump up to take the photos of them as they are SO tall...and I am SO short:)
To Hayley~You are so beautiful and it was such a pleasure hanging out with you! The best of luck in your adventures at school, your art and in modeling...and I hope to see you again soon!

...Her floral designs are AMAZING and her resume will blow you away...
...AND she is now here in Durango! So, you better get her while you can before her calendar is booked solid for years to come...and I am not kidding...
...I already booked her for the party at From the Heart next Friday...I can't even tell you how amazing her designs are...
...This photo shoot just happened by chance...We met through a mutual good friend as well as my sister and hit it off: love of art, design, our children, husbands & more...I mean, what more could you ask for?...
...She called me and said she was going to the amazing Blue Lake Ranch to pick flowers for a wedding she is designing the floral displays for and wanted to see if I wanted to come along...And of course I said yes and decided to turn it into a photo shoot that showcases her in the process of what she does...We had a blast...We were both doing what we love, so it made for a great day...
...and the Blue Lake Ranch's gardens are AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING...rows upon rows of peonies and irises!...I can't wait to do more photo sessions there...It was perfect...
...Thank you to Alana for a fun afternoon...We definitely have lots of fun filled days as friends & artists together and I know her business is going to skyrocket....
...Here is all of her contact information and she will be a permanent link on my website and blog, so keep her and I bookmarked!...

...the lovely Miss ~S~...
...psychology major with an interest in pschytsophrenia and children's psychology, collector of shoes and exquisite aprons, fashionista and simply gorgeous woman...
We had so much fun yesterday...She is graduating from Fort Lewis College next month and wanted to have a photo shoot in honor of it...
What a fabulous idea, don't you think?! I wish I had done that when I graduated from FLC...
She said she chose me based on the different take I had on portraits and she liked that...what a HUGE compliment...!
Miss~S~ was just plain gorgeous and fun to be around...we jaunted everywhere in Durango too...we went up to FLC of course, we found some rusted cars that were just waiting for us to use on a local county road and we even happened to run into a friend of mine who let us borrow his fabulous orange truck for a few shots...
And ~S~'s mom came for half of the session and I just loved seeing the mom-daughter bond and relationship between them...it was very special...
~S~...you are so beautiful and I am SO honored that you chose me to capture this significant moment in your life...I can't wait for you to see all of the photos...
xoxo-heidi
...p.s. we were taking photos under the bridge and this man reading nearby stopped me while I was taking photos of ~S~ and said "aren't you going to use a flash?" and I said "nope, I don't use a flash at all in any of my photography..." and I then proceeded to show him the next image after I shot it...I think he was pleasantly surprised as he said "ohhhh wow" in a very positive way...yay, maybe I inspired someone to try something new...:)
