Okay, this is a long post, but I couldn't help myself as there were too many adorable photos of this little fashionista.  Her mom's pearls entertained her most of the shoot, which doesn't surprise me as her mom loves creating beautiful jewelry, but her dad might be in for a bit of trouble as I see her wanting an extensive jewelry collection very soon:).

I love that my daughters kissed my cheeks for this image.  I love that they actually listened to what the photographer asked them to do. Trust me, this is a rarity for these two little munchkins to listen to one of us on the first request.  I was so proud.  They probably didn't listen for the rest of the day, but at least they did for that one millisecond so I could have a photo that will last me a lifetime.

I love this family.

Sweet ~m~ is already fabulous at being a big sister.  She was so gracious and let her new baby sister have the limelight. Here are a few of my favorite images from the photo shoot.  It took place in Durango (right before we moved our family to Denver). And I secretly like to think that little ~e~ came early just so I could photographer her right before the move. Ha! But in reality, she more than likely came as she knew she was causing her mom's body a bit (okay, more than a bit) of discomfort and it was just time.  I am very happy I got to meet her so soon after her birth day. Big hugs to this beautiful family.

I will also be posting some more information on travel session dates I have available as well as a casting call of sorts as I will be needing a few models (Denver, Boulder, Aspen & Vail moms be on the lookout for that post) for a new session style I will be offering.  I can't wait as this has been brewing in my head for so long and it feels like the perfect time to start! I also have lots of wonderful things that have happened recently as well as future endeavors that are taking place and I am so excited to share the news with you as they come to fruition.

Oh how I just love a photo shoot of a gorgeous pregnant woman.  Here are a few of my favorites from our shorter than expected session as she was not feeling too well (the little one in her belly was making a statement that she wanted to be out already), but she really wanted to get special images before the sweet baby arrived...and well, it is a good thing we did the shoot that afternoon...

...because this photo was when we ended the session as she had a feeling that her new little one might enter the world a little earlier than expected...Here is a photo mid-contraction...And I am so glad we were able to do this session when we did as little ~e~ made her way into the world less than 24 hours after this...

We arrived in Denver a few days ago and are starting to get settled into our new life here.  We already LOVE it and can't wait to start exploring everything.  To be honest, the reality of actually packing and unpacking is not very fun...it actually really really sucks.  But, we have such great intentions for our future here and traveling more for photo shoots that we weren't too bothered by all the boxes and actually like the idea of streamlining everything in our lives.  (Blah blah blah...sorry...I had to put something in there about how packing/unpacking is so time consuming & not really all that fun especially with kids who want your attention every second).  The girls were both excited and a little confused when we started moving all their toys and so I had to take couple photos of us playing a little hide-n-seek as the last few pieces of furniture were packed up and we left our home in Durango.

The good thing is that I am now out of move mode and back into work mode, so here come some blog posts & photo shoots again...I am making a promise to myself to try and post on the blog daily, so come and say hi to me on here whenever you can! I would really love to hear from the people who stop by here.

I cannot wait to see what is in store for us here and I look forward to meeting new amazing clients and friends. I do LOVE that part of moving!

Where do I even begin?
I love this family so much and am so honored they wanted me to come all the way to them in Ruidoso, New Mexico, to photograph their sweet new son. Words cannot even describe how I feel about this & the time spent with them, so I will keep it simple and let the photos speak at how sweet the day was.

I love that this beauty (class of 2011 high school graduate to be) and her family came all the way from the Twin Cities to have me photograph her. We met them up in Denver and even though it was the hottest day in Denver, we had a lot of fun stomping around the city finding great spots to take photos.  Our makeup almost melted off by the end of the shoot, but we survived:).

I love that I get to watch my clients grow up.  I have had the privilege of photographing little ~m~ for over the past year and love love love seeing how much she is learning and how her personality is evolving.  She is such a sweetheart. These are some of my favorite images from her mini-session.

Lorean is an extremely talented stylist who needed a beautiful photos and a design for her resume and entire portfolio to show off at interviews in her new home ~ New York City.  I was so thrilled she contacted me to create something for her (I may just post the design soon too, but I will stick with the images first). I just wrapped it all up before her big move and am very excited to finally have a moment to show some of the photos from the second shoot.  This was all done in one day and we all had a really great time. 

This shoot was also just to focus on the hair and makeup (and some sweet clothing), so I didn't want to get crazy with angles or too artistic with it.  I kept it simple to just showcase what Lorean's portfolio needed. The stunning beauty Nina, (owner of Blu, clothing & accessory boutiques in Durango and Austin), was the absolute perfect model too.

I will post the third session soon too. And LOTS of other photo sessions & great news are coming to the blog as well. I have just not had the extra time to post daily (the blog comes last on the list as clients and family come first, a good thing, right?!)...but stay tuned for more as I have a lot to share with you.
